A Historic Transformation: From Dairy to Creative Hub
The Dairy Arts Center has an interesting backstory! Believe it or not, it started out as a milk processing facility run by Watts-Hardy Dairy. But in 1992, a talented group of local artists and dreamers saw something special in the old building. They turned it into the vibrant multi-disciplinary arts center we know and love today, making it the largest one in Boulder.
The renovated space has maintained its industrial charm while embracing state-of-the-art performance spaces, galleries, and film screenings. This unconventional venue is a testament to Boulder’s commitment to the arts and an example of urban renewal done right.
